| > Environmental Health and Safety > Programs and Services > Environmental Protection Services > Chemical Exchange Program |
The following chemicals are available free of charge to anyone requiring them at the University. If you are interested in obtaining or donating unwanted, but still useable chemicals, please contact the Environmental Protection Services (Hazardous Materials) at local 87000 or 84821. Requests may also be sent by email: hazwaste.ehs@utoronto.ca .
At this time, the Chemical Exchange Program has been discontinued. Because of the contruction project for the Centre for Information Technology, the University's central chemical waste transfer facility used to temporarily store the chemicals for the Chemical Exchange Project was demolished in November 1999. A Task Force has been formed to review the campus-wide requirements for the transfer of chemical wastes has been formed. The future of the Program will depend on the outcome of the recommendations of the task force. |
