Pathogen Safety Data Sheets

The Pathogen Regulation Directorate within the Public Health Agency of Canada publishes a number of Pathogen Safety Data Sheets (previously Material Safety Data Sheets for infectious substances).

These sheets contain health hazard information such as infectious dose, viability (including susceptibility to disinfectants), medical information, laboratory hazards (including lab-acquired infections), recommended precautions, handling information and spill procedures. These sheets are specifically designed as a safety resource for a laboratory setting.
