Recommendations Regarding Office Ergonomic Furniture and Accessories

Undergoing an office move or relocation?  Need to replace broken or inappropriate furniture and computer accessories? If you have ever been in the position of having to muddle through all of the choices available today for chairs, workstations, keyboards, mouse devices, keyboard units, etc., you know that it can be very overwhelming.

EHS can help minimize or even eliminate those stressful decisions.  First, refer to the University of Toronto Office Ergonomics Standard.  This standard outlines the requirements for moderate and intensive computer users at the University.

If you are looking for some product information or direction regarding some possible suppliers for particular pieces of equipment, check out the Ergonomic Products Listing.   Some of these suppliers provide a discount for the University and will also bring in items such as chairs for a trial period to ensure that the item "fits" the user.  Please contact Sandra Deike at 416-978-8787 or sandra.deike@utoronto.ca.
