11. The Material Safety Data Sheet

PREPARATION DATE

Often the last thing on the MSDS is the information regarding the preparation of the sheet. The supplier must indicate the name and phone number of the group, department or party responsible for the preparation of the MSDS. A MSDS is valid for three years from the date of prepraration, unless an update is issued or made in the interim. The employer must acquire a new, up-top date MSDS when the old one expires, such that a current MSDS is available at all times.
